Starter drags, slow, sluggish cranking
• Weak or discharged battery
• Loose or dirty connections
• Corroded or damaged cables
• Bad ground connection

Solenoid chatters, won't engage starter drive
• Weak or discharged battery

• Problems in control circuit or magnetic switch

Starter fails to operate at all
